This site represents over 100 years of ministry experience. Mike and Jolene Dawson have been Kingdom servants all of their adult lives. And since Jolene is a PK (Preacher's Kid), she accumulated an additional 25 years of ministry before marrying Mike. When you add Mike's growing up years with a mom who was a dedicated Kingdom servant herself, you actually have here a century and a half of combined servanthood experience. The Dawsons are both committed to sharing stories, insights, and materials that they believe can help any servant of the Lord become more effective in serving Jesus and other people.

Jolene

Jolene is the daughter of the late Rev. R. Von and Mrs Estelle King. 'Preacher King' served churches in North and South Carolina from 1938 until his death in 1974.
She prayed to receive Christ into her life at a very young age--at the family dinner table. She began playing the piano at age 5, and has served as an accompanist ever since.
Her Kingdom service, in addition to raising children and grands, has been to be a helpmate to her pastor husband. She's also loved teaching young adults, taking groups to training conferences and retreats, and sharing thoughts and ideas. She has done extensive study in personality-types (temperaments). Mike

Mike is the son of the late Sam and Billie Dawson. His dad's career was in the U.S. Army where he retired as Master Sergeant in Fort Benning, GA. Mike's mom was a lifelong servant of the Lord, playing the piano and serving in numerous capacities in her local churches. Until her death at age 90 'Mama Dawson' was a vibrant but humble servant of Jesus Christ.
At age nine during a revival meeting in Spartanburg, S.C. 'Michael' (as his mother always called him) prayed to receive Christ as His Savior. As a high school senior Mike sensed God's call into the ministry, and has been preaching the Gospel ever since.
Mike is a graduate of Baker High School in Columbus, GA; Jolene--Woodruff High School, Woodruff, S.C. The two of them met on the campus of Furman University, Greenville, S.C., where they graduated in 1960. They married in 1962, while attending New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA. Mike received his Master of Divinity degree from the Seminary in 1963.
