"Go ahead. Make my day."

The other day I heard a Southern Gospel song that was addressed to Satan and his forces. The chorus said: "You don't EVEN want to make me pray!" I chuckled and said amen to that one! Then I thought about the spiritual battle we're all facing right now in our homes, churches, communities, national politics (and the fast-breaking world events). I immediately recalled Clint Eastwood's portrayal of Harry Callahan, delivering one of the top six most-quoted lines: "Go ahead. Make my day." So in keeping with the theme of the Gospel song I had heard, I thought of this: Yes, Dirty Harry says to the bad guys, "Go ahead. Make MY DAY." But the cleansed Christian says to the evil forces, "Go ahead. Make ME PRAY."
